Country Western Day

June 2008

In June 2008, Carinya Society held the Country Western Day. It was a fun day for all with plenty of activities and games. These included the boot throwing competition and musical performances (see pictures). An animal farm from 'Animals on the Move' was also set up with an array of animals from ducks to lambs and goats.

Footy Day

September 2008

 

The annual Carinya Society Footy Day was held this month in preparation for the Grand Final. With everyone dressed in their favourite footy club colours, activities such as the Marking Competition and Handball Competition were held. The hall was also decked out in ribbons and balloons for the occasion.

Work Experience

June 2008

 

Staff member Campbell Vinson has been working very hard this year to secure work experience for two clients from Carinya Society. We are happy to report that in mid-2008, two male clients began a trial at Bunnings Warehouse, Preston.
